Default Carburetor made in Argentina

I recently acquired this carburetor.
I thought it was a Tillotson since it looks like a Model X.
It has Made in Argentina on the backside with a logo.

Does anyone know who made it and if any parts are available?

I remember back in the early 60's quite a few model A parts were made in Argentina and sold through JC Whitney

Those are still available new in Argentina, but need some small modifications to properly interface with the Ford Model A controls. Here is what a new one looks like:

Yours has been painted and tweaked to fit the Model A controls.

Sorry that I can not provide any further details. I bought those carbs at a swap meet in Argentina. There was a new parts vendor there selling them, but I did not get their contact information. Other stands had bushel baskets of used ones as well so I picked up a couple (since I still had space in my suitcase).

About two years ago I replaced an exhaust manifold on a gents car. The manifold that I replaced had made in Argentina on it. The openings in the manifold were quite a bit smaller diameter. Noticeably so with the naked eye. One of his complaints prior to doing this was that he was lacking power. Ended up his block was cracked in several places and a new block and rebuild was in order.
However I think that this manifold may have had something to do with his lack of power.

Sorry to go way OT, but it sounds like the manifold that you replaced (with the smaller diameter openings) was for a Ford Model AF engine (the small bore engine sold in several European countries). Here is a photo of the 1929 Model AF engine in one of my cars (assembled in France):

Other than its noticeable smaller diameter, the Model AF engine intake manifold is quickly recognizable by the dimple along the top left edge of the intake manifold. The one in this picture has an extra brass plug in that dimple (non-Ford/aftermarket plug). For RHD drive cars, that dimple is where the linkage pivot for the spark controls is attached. On LHD cars, that linkage is not needed and thus the dimple serves no purpose.

The carb in question has a lot of similarities to the Tillotson carb. A person might have to compare gaskets and float valve to see if they have more in common. Patents ran out so many years ago on the Tillotson that they may have copied some of the design. A lot of reproduction parts used to come from Argentina back when I was young. Some were good and some not so good.

I am reminded of the "Mochi" carburetor of my ownership.

It kind of resembles the original Zenith. Reports are the parts will interchange?

Vintage Ford "Register" site.

Quote:
“The Mochi carburetor was manufactured in Argentina and marked “Industria Argentina” on the air inlet and “MOCHI” on the float bowl. The Restorer could find no information on the company or when these carbs were made. This Carburetor has a very rough exterior casting and is held together with two cap screws. The Mochi carb has a fuel inlet on the rear, probably to accommodate a Model B gas line, but could be adapted for the Model A. It is a very heavy carb at 4 lbs. The Mochi employs a single bleed air jet, similar to the Johnson Model JFA and Tillotson Model X carbs. The float is a unique design, not interchangeable with the Zenith. Since the Mochi uses a bleed air jet, it does not have a secondary well or idling jet. There are only two jets, the compensator jet in the bottom of the float bowl and a main jet. The Venturi is cast as part of the top half of the carb and so, is not removable. The Mochi is a simple design, employed with somewhat crude construction.”

I thought that it might be something like that. The intake manifold that was with it did not have the dimple.
I've kept it as a bit of a oddball / curiosity.
