HOA's a real PITA? Why Vic, I can't believe you would say such a thing about those kind, sensitive and caring folks. Now I'm going to go throw up.

Don and Cliff came over today. Mike couldn't make it because he was basking in the glow of becoming a new Grandfather, his daughter-in-law gave birth to a girl, and her name is Amelia... Congratulations to Mike and Jamie, the proud grandparents. Don worked on removing the gas tank from his '50 rag top while I installed the headlight switch and joined all the various wiring harnesses together in the '39 LZ. Cliff was running back and forth, giving each of us a helping hand. When Don dropped the gas tank, we saw that it had rusted through, from the top... I hooked up the battery in the LZ and tested the headlight switch... YES!!! let there be light, including parking lights, low beams and high beams, even the ignition courtesy light... After all this excitement, it was time for... You guessed it... PIZZA. Thanks to Cliff & Don and congratulations again to Mike!

I hope the new baby lives close to the new grandparents. All will benefit from it.

I got good news in the mail today... The only part I was missing, (to be able to reassemble the '39 LZ's dashboard), was an OEM windshield wiper switch. These are very hard to find, as Ford used four different wiper switches in '39, the Ford, Mercury, Zephyr and Model K Lincolns each used a unique switch. One of the guys that deals in Lincoln Zephyr and Continental OEM parts, (and advertises on the Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club website), had one that was rusted together but, he soaked it in a rust solvent and got it freed up. Here's a photo of the switch and rod... I am a HAPPY CAMPER

We did get back out to the garage yesterday for a bit. Don came over and he and I did some work on the underside of the '50 rag top. Keith called and said that he, his dad, and Cliff were at his garage messin we some of his toys so, Don and I drove the '51 F-1 over to play with them for a while. I didn't bring my camera so Keith took some photos on his phone however, he hasn't emailed them to my just yet. Maybe he'll post them here himself. As usual, we ended the fun at the PIZZA shop. I should mention that we all took a ride in Keith's '63 Lincoln Continental Convertible to go for PIZZA... That's riding in style, even though it was not a Flathead.

A Visitor.

Today I was treated to a visit from a fellow FordBarner and '39 Ford owner, Andy Adileo. Andy was down from his home in New Jersey, visiting his mom, and he took some time to come over and kick some tires with me. Here's a photo of Andy behind the wheel of my '39 CS. We had a great time, its nice to be able to meet people from the FordBarn. I want to thank Andy for taking the time to visit, hope to see him again soon. Oh, we didn't have PIZZA, just incase you were wondering...

If there was no PIZZA, then it wasn't a sanctioned CIGAR CITY FLATHEADS venue, but looks like a nice afternoon anyway. The CIGAR CITY FLATHEADS always welcome any and all BARNER'S and FLATHEAD enthusiasts alike.

Thanks Vic - my visit was a pure pleasure - looking over your collection was a highlight of my trip to Florida and only topped by your hospitality and our discussion/love for these classic flatheads

If you ever come up to NJ please give me a call.

Wait a minute - it's the "Cigar" City Flatheads, not "Pizza" City Flatheads - no CIGARS and it is not a CCF sanctioned event! LOL!

Tom, we normally (if that word has any relevance where we're concerned) only eat PIZZA on Saturdays. Andy visited on Friday. As for cigars, Mike and I are the only ones who enjoy smoking cigars... I did have a busy weekend, with Andy's visit on Friday and JM coming on Saturday. I went with John to pick up a '35 Ford Three Window Coupe that he bought from a guy I know, who also has a '41 Lincoln Continental Coupe for sale, if anyone is interested... The '35 is really sharp and it has more 'JC Whitney' accessories from back in the day, then I've ever seen on one car... I'll post some photos later. John and I brought the '35 back to my house and Sherrie, John and I drove over to Keith's house where he was hosting the Cigar City Flatheads Christmas Party. I'll also post some of those candid photos a bit later. John spent the night at my house and took off for home at 7:00 am today with the '35 in tow...

Here are a few photos of the fun with JM and the '35 and a bunch of Cigar City Flatheads at the party. Keith even made a cake in the shape of a Flathead... It was cool and tasty and, it didn't leak when it was cut... I had a blast this weekend, and I didn't even play with any of my cars...

And the party...

the Flathead Cake by Keith.

A Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Great looking car, JM, I'm envious.

It looks like "A great time was had by all" at the party.

We did have fun at the Cigar City Flatheads Christmas Party, thanks again the Keith and his wife for hosting the event. Those of you that have spent any time with the Cigar City Flatheads, can attest to the fact that we always put the emphasis on having fun. Here's a Christmas card from all of us to all of you.
