Default T radiator shell restore help

I have a T radiator shell from my dad’s collection. I’m assuming it’s a nickel plated brass shell. It’s not painted.
What could be done to clean it, or bring it back to its original look.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Does not look like it has any plating left. If that is the case about the only way is to have it re nickle plated. NOT CHROME! Brass shells would have been plated, steel ones painted.
