Default Remember our troops around the world

Remember all those serving and those in harms way. May they have a little Christmas in their hearts and stay safe. Hopefully a USO show will surprise some. We got skipped over by Bob Hope, but care packages from home meant a lot at Phu Cat AB, RVN.

Merry Christmas to our troops wherever they are. I loved it when Bob Hope stayed home. That meant peace was closer. The USO does a wonderful job in bringing "AMERICA" to the troops. At Yokota Japan, the USO always grabbed entertainers who were on tour on Japan to come to Yokota and other bases to preform. Arthur Godfrey came to our alert shack at Yokota. Golly his visit really pepped us up. Bob Hope in 'Nam was the bestest!
I can only image what the USO tours in the desert means to our troops!!!!

Merry Christmas
Clem

I got to see Bob and Raquel Welsh do their Christmas show while in Thailand (1967-68). We flew rescue helicopters out of Laos.

My wife and I were talking about this at Thanksgiving. We both spent a Thanksgiving and Christmas in Iraq and I did a Christmas during Desert Storm and another Thanksgiving in Afghanistan. The level of care displayed in the mess hall by the Department of Defense is absolutely without comparison! One of the things that they do get right, and how!

May all are troops be safe where ever they are. Spent Christmas '68 in Nam and was out of the bush just before Christmas to catch Bob Hope's show in Da Nang, boy did that feel good . Always was grateful for Hope and his cast to go in harms way to bring a bit of home to us. The USO also did a good job and that is why I continue to support them. To all you Veterans, of any deployment you might have made a heartfelt Welcome Home and a Very Merry Christmas.
