Specific interchangeable seats for Vicky sought
Any of you "experts " know specifically which car seats (buckets or split bench)will "transplant " into a '31 Vicky? I have been told Early Mustang seats will fit. I have owned 3 different early Mustangs and know that they are too wide. In another post I mentioned the name of a business that supplies seats of your choice to fit in hot rods. Problem is -- they are quite pricey. I would prefer to find a used seat/s in a wrecking yard and have them re-upholstered.
Suggestions please! Bill |

You may not be getting answers because we all have original seats and never thought about anything else.
Now, this might sound like I'm putting you off but let me suggest you post your question on the HAMB site as they talk about hot rods and would know the best on the what and how of your front seat questions.

90's vintage Honda Prelude. You can use the stock front mounts.
You have to fabricate rear ones but they are simple. They are 6 way mechanically adjustable also. Last edited by Pete; 11-29-2017 at 09:11 PM. |

THANK YOU BOTH! That is EXACTLY the type of information I am looking for! Unfortunately, I have some physical restrictions that keep me from enjoying my original seats (fused spine and replaced left knee.) The contortions that I must go through entering and exiting the car cause me severe discomfort for the remainder of the day. It goes without saying, I will save the original seats for the "next guy." I just want to have fun with my "new" 190A!!! THANKS ALL, Bill |

I recall 'long time ago, a fellow put Jeep Sierra buckets in a tudor.
I would think tudor and vic are close in width, etc. Jeep seats may be a bit hard to find and expensive |

Re: Specific interchangeable seats for Vicky sought
I too have spine issues. As we speak I'm currently redesigning my Tudor stock seats. I eliminated the cushion springs and built a concealed wooden frame. To that frame I mounted "No Sag" (zig-zag") springs. The cushions are now done and we love them. I'm now working on the backrests. I was able to hand select the foam compression and rebound characteristics to fit my needs. I have built many a Model "A" street rod with many different seat types. I really do like the look of the stock seat and that's why I'm going through all this trouble.
