Throw out arm travel

Can anyone tell me how far the throw out arm moves at the top hole (total travel) when the clutch pedal is depressed/operated and the arm length please.
I am trying to work out the linkage lengths to make my Wilwood cylinder move the clutch throw out bearing the correct amount and don't have any of the original parts to measure.

What year are you looking for? There is a chart of the earlier years lengths.

Perhaps a few details such as, car, truck, PU year, model, may assist with answers. also presume its a Ford flathead. Is the clutch just been done or is it original? Is it presently operational and just requires adjustment.
More details will surely assist.

I just did this exact same thing 2 weeks ago while setting up a wilwood master and slave cyl when converting to a hydraulic clutch. The rod moves about 1 1/4" off the clevis of the original clutch pedal. I mounted the master cyl on the frame rail so I could keep original pedals. My slave cyl is their 'pull type' and works perfectly. You need to align all points for direct push/pull with no side thrust. I assume you may be using something for engine that isn't the original, as the ford direct push rod to arm can't be beat for a flathead in a flathead car. My master is 7/8" bore and so is the slave. 3/4 master pushed easily but not enough throw.

Hi Phil,
Sorry didn't want to complicate things.
1931 Model A pickup with a 59A flathead, new flywheel, pressure plate and clutch plate. the gearbox is a T5 5 speed.
The forks and throw out bearing should be the same as original 59A.
the original arm should be 3.375" long and I need to know how far that arm would move when the clutch is operated? I would think about 30mm at a guess. cheers

It´s not that sensitive if you get a bit to much movement...just as long as you get enough.
Aim for the shortest lever in that pic and it should work.
Get the angle of the lever right.

My 48 with an OT engine/trans has a hydraulic clutch with about 3/4" of travel at the pushrod contact point of the throw-out arm. It works fine but could probably use a little more travel.

Looks like your setup should work just fine - as long as your MC has enough fluid volume for the travel you need.

Looks like you did the same as I did. Giving yourself a choice of mounting holes to vary the ratio of lever movement with respect to pedal movement. I did it at the pedal lever tho. with basically a variable length lever arm. Sorry I can't do pics.
