Default Flushing 28 radiator and block?

What is the best way to flush radiator and block? I hadn't run my engine for some time and started it up today . A lot of black water like liquid coal dust, ran out the overflow. I removed the cap and there was a lot of black foam bubling upin the neck. I drained the system and poured a bottle of Pinesol in and filled with water. Ran engine for 20 mins. and drained again. Water was very murky. Filled with water and ran 20mins. Water was clear when drained but the black stuff still bubling up in the neck. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to remedy this?
Thanks

Go to www.ocmacf.org, the Orange County MAFC web site. On the left menu click on "tech articles". It will bring up a new menu. Click on Tom Endy's articles. The second article down is on back flushing the radiator and the engine block.

I would fill the radiator to the neck and remove the fan belt. Then start the engine and rev it up quickly a few times. See if you now see bubbles. This sounds like you may have a leaking gasket or a crack in the head.

My apologies, I reversed two letters. www.ocmafc.org is correct.

Thanks Tom, and all who responded to my post. I will make up a set of hose's and baffle as per your instructions and proceed with back flushing. Also thoroughly enjoyed the items on tech support especially the articles on multidisc clutches and the Zenith carbs. My 28 tudor has the original multidisc clutch. Would anyone in your Club have a picture of a tudor with gunmetal blue lower body and black back. I plan to go with this color scheme and have not seen a tudor with this combo.
Thanks again
