Is it hard to find someone that will hall a car that doesn't run thanks

Going out on a limb, most of the one man haulers using enclosed/open trailers more then likely have wenches to pull cars on board. Now the big rig types, the ones with two decks, don't think so. Your best is to contact haulers and fine out. I know that Jim has picked up non runners. The hard part is finding someone that will be in the area where the car is and is heading your way. Of course the other option is renting truck and trailer and getting it your self.

The car is in Oregon and I'm in Minnesota I couldn't drive that far thanks

Reliable, who operate throughout the U.S. and Canada will haul cars that are inoperative.

They are headquartered in Canton, MI.

Recently helped a friend in Australia who bought a non-running Jeep in Maryland, and needed it shipped. We both thought it would increase the cost of shipping if it couldn't be driven on/off the truck, but it turns out most shippers don't want to operate the cars because of liability. So non-runners are no problem at all.

ok thanks it is about 1300 miles the car is only 1500 pounds not very heavy

This 'inop' cost me 1200.00 to ship from Parkers Prairie Mn. to Marysville Wa. As some have said it's a waiting game to find a shipper going near some of these remote locations. I don't think I have ever bought any old vehicle that runs and I have had 5 of them shipped. Never a problem. (for me anyways). I have heard stories from the shippers (mostly Russians) of shoveling snow, moving other dead vehicles, frozen steering boxes etc. But they quote a price and stick to it. I have been known to slip the driver an extra hundred. Just because.....

All carriers I have dealt with charge like $100 bucks extra for a non running car. Shouldn’t be a big deal. I have used United Auto Transport, who is a broker, and they find the best carrier for your situation.

And...I can’t let this this one go by.... Above redmodelt mentioned carriers that use “wenches” to help get a non-running car up onto a trailer. Wow, would love to see them gals do that! How many does it take?!

Some of those "wenches" will work their tails off, so it wouldn't take too many.

But if you teach a wench to use a winch, then it just takes one.

You can have a laugh at this . I think it should be winches not wenches all though maybe a couple of them could do it . I have a winch on my truck and can load a tractor on my car trailer but I don't live in the US .Be sure the guy is honest that you get

I sold a car for parts and the buyer got a trans porter enclosed trailer, It had 2 or 3 car lifts inside and a winch. He wouldn't, drive down my drive way so he wanted to load on main highway. Best have a way to get it to his trailer tow, push, flatbed, etc.
The driver said he would go from coast to coast once a month.

There are 3 QUALITY transporters over on the Hamb : BenD, Racinman & Myself. We all have electric winches in & on our trailers & just like we don't charge for unloaded miles, we don't charge extra for winching in or on our trailers. Personally I do not load anything that does not roll on inflated tires, because I transport many 6 figure cars & do not want to scratch up my trailers.

Please keep in mind though, we are all booked WELL in advance all year round!
