Default Accessory Hood Trim - 1952-1954 Fords ?

This trim is often seen on 1952, 1953 and 1954 Fords fitted behind the original Ford Crest. Is this a Genuine Ford Accessory or an After-Market part?

My '53 Customline (USA) did not have a badge like that. Could it be other than American?....Canada maybe?....

Here is another car in Australia with this Accessory V8 backing behind the original Ford Badge. This one is on an imported 1952 Ford Convertible. They seem to be very popular on these cars in Australia?

Interesting. I know they had bull knubs to replace the airplane in 53 from whitney. Not sure why you would do that on the 50th anniversary 53 ford. So many references to jets and airplanes on that cool year car. The v8 badge is interesting and just a small addition detail. Not sure the origin.

Just the propeller front end grill.

53 was the first 215 straight 6 OHV, 54 the bullet proof 223. The mileage maker. Not a hotrod motor. Just a runner forever.

Here is an old photo of a 1952 Ford Customline with a different accessory trim piece behind the original Ford badge. It is much wider that the examples previously shown? The newest vehicle on this Used Car Lot is a 1956 Ford F100 Pick-up.

I remember seeing those "wings" when I was kid. I always thought they were from J.C.Whitney, as the cars they were on usually had curb "feelers", mudguards, and the rest of the "accessories".

Boy! I wouldn't mind having any of the vehicles in that front row!

Actually, 1952 was the first 215 OHV 6 cylinder.

Yet another After-Market Accessory V8 Badge behind the original Ford Crest Badge. This one on a 1953 Ford Victoria.

Similar accessory V8 Trim for trunk lid of a 1952 Ford. Notice the provision for the trunk lid lock at the bottom? Not suitable for the 1953 and 1954 Fords, as they had a chrome trim piece incorporating the lock.
