Well, mine isn't exactly black, but it's close. "Official" color designation is Stone Grey. Most of the time it looks black until you get the light reflecting on it just right. Other times it looks blue, sometimes green. You can see the differences in the light between my avitar and the picture.

here is a picture of my original early May (flat firewall) 1931 Victoria. I repainted the tops of the fenders and the wheels to green about 2 years after I purchased it in 1980. The rest of the car is factory. It has 75,000 miles on it.
Also a picture of my 1930 standard coupe (48,000) with fair original interior and very nice original rumble seat. It has been repainted original color.
