Add your Avatar

I saw some folks asking about this, so I thought I would help out a little.

To have an avatar image next to your user name when you post, you first need to decide on what image to use.

Then you need to re-size it using photo editing software(your computer probably already has what you need).

These are the parameters for the Avatar image file:

The maximum size of your custom image is 160 by 160 pixels or 19.5 KB

So, once you have selected and re-sized your image...


While logged in you click on:

User CP <- at the top of every page, under the banner logo up top


Under 'your control panel' on the left... scroll down to:


Settings & Options (under here)

click on

Edit Avatar


select the circle/dot next to : Use Custom Avatar


Make sure your image file meets these parameters first(as mentioned above):


The maximum size of your custom image is 160 by 160 pixels or 19.5 KB


Then you can upload your image file.


Click on the 'save changes' button.


The file will then be saved on the forums here and will appear next to your user name when you post & in the mini-statistics area of your profile... if the image file meets the above stated parameters.



If you need a simple photo editing software program for your windows based machine, I recommend Irfanview. It is free ware and has been around for many years.
