Good quality blackwall tire source

I bought my Coker Firestone 21" tires from Summit Racing. Same retail price as most $159, but free FedEx shipping. They were worth every penny as the ride has improved significantly over my 40+ year old Allstates. Tires were on site in 72 hours.

No mention of radials? but so far they not only appear to have better wear characteristics than cross plies, but they have made the steering lighter and the ride a little better. Only disadvantage is price?

I'm very pleased with my Firestone tires. They wear well and are smooth on the highway.

Speaking of radials.... Be sure and add the cost of the
special inner tub for these tires when considering radials.

I can't understand why radial tyres would require different tubes? I certainly run our radials with the same tubes that I had in the original tyres without problems

Hired a cheap car in NZ once and had to wait while they repaired it.

Turns out they put a tube in the radial tyre. It blew and I walked home. I confronted the guy about putting a tube in a radial.

He didn't say anything but his face went red.

I only buy radial tubes. They are thicker for the heat build up.

If Radial Tires are available for Model A's, why use a tube at all?
