Removing Dome Light Lens-Frame from 1936
How do I get at the dome light bulb in my 1936 Ford? Do I pry or twist to open the lens or frame? Is it hinged? I'm afraid that I'll break it if I force it.

Look for a small snap ring in a grove at the edge of the glass lens. Pop it out and the lens will fall right out.

Re: Removing Dome Light Lens-Frame from 1936
I have no experience here, I have a '36 convertible.
From what I've read, I advise caution to be sure that the lens doesn't drop and break when it comes out. I've read that a second pair of hands can be handy for catching the lens.
