Default '50 F3 Engine color
Guys, I am getting my engine rebuilt. 1950 Flathead V8 (may have been built in 49). What color would it have been from the factory?

Were the short block red and the bolt on pieces black? As I an digging through the layers of mud I am finding a lot of black parts. But the short block has no paint anymore.
