42 ford 1 1/2 tonne truck brakes
Hi guys,
I have read the manual regarding adjusting the brakes, it says to use the bottom adjustment to centre the shoe for equal coverage around the drum. How do you do this? Is it by eye before putting the drum on? Or how is this achieved with the drum on to ensure equal coverage? Cheers Corey |

Re: 42 ford 1 1/2 tonne truck brakes
This is the piece in the manual,
2. Loosen the anchor bolt lock nut "C", Fig. 13, using a wrench with a three-inch handle. Move bolt in the direction indicated by arrow, until the shoe is touching the drum evenly, the full lining being in contact. Tighten the lock nut making sure the anchor is held as the nut is tightened. Repeat same operation on bolt "D", Fig. 13, and follow the same pro Anyone have any clues? Not sure how you can know if the drum is on. Cheers Corey |

Re: 42 ford 1 1/2 tonne truck brakes
Hi All,
Nobody has done this? I would imagine there must be a way that they used to do it. Maybe i need a better manual that details it better. Any help is appreciated. Cheers Corey |
