Default The A-3430 Front radius rod ball socket (Upper)

How many "versions" of the A-3430 Front radius rod ball socket (Upper) were there?

This is the one with the hole on top of the dome.

I have seen one that is just a dome with hole;

The other is a dome with hole and a 1/4 inch "step" surrounding the bottom of the dome.

Which was used first or does it matter?

Maybe one with the Multiple Disc Clutch housing and the other with the later housing???

Thanks.

Pluck

Jan '28 Open Cab: example of 'stepped' upper socket. Note too the bolts have 'holes' vs. 'slots' for the retaining pin. Assume to be original, but then its been 90+ yrs ...
