I like them...have a few here to.
Should have a drip pan instead of the plywood...real nice and easy to take out and put in the partswasher when done disassembling.
Nice design with the hollow shafts letting you install cambearings and a cam even with press on gear.

I have another engine on one. Its nice how you can spin it around with little effort...If only i had a clue how to confidently rebuild a v8 myself...

Ian....Coopman here! Look at the pictures as posted in Post #11. They're the small size. If you click on one of those pictures, it becomes LARGE. Then, you just go through the same, necessary steps to post the pic in it's now-enlarged form....like below! DD

little!

BIG!

I picked up one of those back in the 60's from a junkyard. WE were running the stockcar back then. Been using it ever since.

I have an original stand (thanks Don Rodgers) but need the pieces that bolt to engine. Guess someday I’ll make them. I have 2 nice K.R.Wilson stands & would love my Clayborne complete to compliment them.

It would be neat to see one supporting a flatty.

These look like a slightly updated version of the Clayborne unit. DD

Local guy 10 minutes from my house has at least 10 of these. First time I saw them he told me the Ford dealership he started working at in the early '50's was throwing them out so he took them all home. No, they are not for sale or I would have at least one in my garage already!!

I have Clayborne Engine stands BUT I do not have the adapters for the Ford engines. I would be glad to swap for a set or pair of the correct mounts . One is being used to hold my truck frame which allows me to roll it around. Any leads or help would be appreciated, Thanks. kerk from Ma.
