A tragic loss to the Model A hobby, Alex Janke
Yesterday we lost Alex Janke to a terrible accident. He was a three time President of MAFCA and was currently serving as the Treasurer. Many of you probably attended one of his many seminars at the Gilmore Museum or during the Hershey Swap Meet. He was one of the main contributors to MAFCA publications and to the How-To videos produced by the Diablo A's chapter. Many of us have relied upon his skills and knowledge for decades. We will feel his loss for many years to come.

Re: A tragic loss to the Model A hobby, Alex Janke
Found out that Alex was at his farm when his tractor overturned with him on it. Apparently, his son found him and tried to revive him but couldn't. He is going to be missed and our club meetings will be duller without him.

Re: A tragic loss to the Model A hobby, Alex Janke
Very sorry to hear this. He helped me a lot on our trip to TX. Without him and a couple of other guys I may have turned around and come home, but they gave me the will to see it through and I will always hold them dear to my heart. He has made trips out to help guys in the other club (Henry's A's) near his own and never turned us down when we asked for a favor. Ruth and family our prayers are with you. I loved his seminar on rebuilding the rear end and because of it, I redid mine and it has worked well ever since, So sad.
