Default tillotson carburettor

Just wondering if anyone out there knows the height of the float for a tillotson carb which I have in my M/A.also a reference to it in a previous thread if there is one. Many thanks,

Methinks hot humid Auckland is about to get a cold snap.

Snowing here in the OZ alps in December.

I believe the spec height of the float is 1" measured with the float attached to the top portion of the carb and, of course, turned upside down. I have also read that some set the float as much as 1 1/8" in order to reduce the possibility of a leak which is OK as long as there is enough gas to run the car at speed.

I set mine at 1 1/8". Seems to run OK.
