Horn rod
I am trying to install a new cable into the horn rod of a 1930 TS.Advice on how to dissemble the horn button to get at the top end of the cable would be appreciated...many thanks

remove the horn rod from the column. look on the back side of the top, there is four prongs that are bent over. straighten them out and remove the ring that holds the horn button.

$30 or so for the "horn button repair kit" is a bit much when only one part is required. 3 of the 4 tabs broke off on the one I recently worked on, so I soldered it back in place.
