Vacuum wiper motor - good news
When I took the test drive the wiper motor didn't operate, which was fine as I figured I could fix it. Started by youtube videos, getting estimates just in case. While working on finding a gas smell driving my wife nuts, I accidentally bumped the vacuum pipe from the exhaust, and found it sat in front of the firewall, but didn't go into the connector. I reattached the pipe properly, pulled the switch, and voila - a working wiper!! I do have to purchase a new arm as the wiper is splitting, but I'm very happy this is no longer an issue.

Yes, so now instead of ordering or repairing an entire wiper assembly, I'm simply ordering a wiper replacement as the one on the car is splitting.
