Will, those pictures are priceless. They remind me a lot of my Grandpa, Dad and several other family members. Most of them worked in the mines for years. And at one time or another they were truck drivers. My Grandpa and Dad always talked about the old 15 ton "Donkey's". I believe they were either Macks or Euclids and those 2 talked about them like they were people. Someday I'll get into a BS mood and tell you about #710. The old oil shovel in the background and the water wagon in the front of the photo are neat too. At any rate I'm going to steal a copy of this photo and post it on my facebook family page. This one is just plain great.

I see. Thanks Roger. Leave it up to another Minnesota T owner to present us with something interesting. I really didn't mind stealing it from Bill when I thought he'd posted it. And now that I've stolen a copy I hope you don't mind if I show it to my family on our facebook page. And welcome aboard. It's about time you posted. If that your touring in the avatar I'm pretty darn envious.

This thread is about period Model T photos, so here are a couple more I can add. This is the 1925 T Coupe that I own. The old photos are of Elmer Stewart and his bride on their honeymoon in 1927. It was used until just after WWII when it was put up on blocks for over 40 years in good dry storage. The owner of the car had me get it running for the centennial (1990) of our small town. The car went back up on blocks until I purchased it in 1998. I take it for a drive once a year to keep things oiled up good and then it gets the fuel drained and goes back in storage. Other than replacing the tires and some normal maintenance, the car is original including the top. The color of the car is black. . . the blue tint in the photos comes from poor photo processing. I am the second registered owner of the car and have the original bill of sale. This car was sold new in the small town (350 population) where I live. Mert Swartz (Dealer), Mr. Frank (Salesman) and Elmer Stewart (Buyer) were all men I knew. There is a lot of local history in that car and I plan on preserving it as long as I have it. I own a couple of restored Model Ts and would never consider restoring this one . . . after all, it's only "original" once and this car wears its history well.

And a few more of an early "T" dealership.
Note the early Indian Motorcycle decal on the front door, in the first two.

What a great story and car !
That "T" is crying for a rub down with GIBBS OIL ! It will enrich the color and hide some of the rusting.
You will have to Google it to find out where to order it. It is a little pricey, at about $20.00 for a spray can.
You can get an idea of what it will do, by spraying a part of your car with WD-40 and rubbing it in with a rag.
The GIBBS OIL will do an even better job and will last much longer.
The old original antique motorcycles, that you see, are probably, treated with this oil.

In posting no 209, pic no 7 with the 2 ladies, I think the car is an air cooled Franklin.

Yea, I know it is not a "T". I just liked it, because one lady is sporting a pistol.

The photo is originally from West Virginia, so she, more than likely, is a Hatfield.

Here is a 1911 photo of the brand new building housing the Nolan Ford Dealership in Grand Meadow, Minnesota. In front of it is a 1911 Torpedo Runabout and an unidentified large luxury car. At first I thought the big car might be a Model K, but the fenders and the rear of the body are not correct. The building still exists, but in a much modified form. The last photo is of a 1911 Torpedo Open Runabout, a rarer version of the Torpedo.

Thought I would share these in this thread. I'm not too savvy with this era of Fords at all, but thought these pics might be enjoyed here. They are of someone who is related to me somehow on my father's side of the family. The backs are stamped Crystal Finish Glendive, Mont. Gate City Drug Store.

Here is a pic of two girls, twins.

Now here is another pic of I'm assuming the same two girls, at Class Day 1933.

I do believe this is a Model T. It is from my Dad's collection of truck photo's that are original canvas backed pictures. The Jenss company is still in business celebrating their 100th year in Buffalo.
