If you mean with raised letters like the original, no one at the present time although someone is working on doing so.

Bob Drake is the only one that has one that the hole is large enough to go over the lever

Hey guys. I just finally moved into the new house and garage. I will be working on this switch plate problem again in the next few weeks.

Exactly, correct shape, correct base metal, correct plating & correct raised lettering. Is that too much to ask for?

Right now, apparently it is too much! Be nice to your originals!

It's not so easy! The biggest hurdle for me at this point is how to apply the black in the recessed area. The first attempt at the casting was to see if it was even viable. I am working on getting a nicer example to cast from. It may not be perfect but at least it wouldn't look like the one that is currently available that the switch won't fit through and the holes are too close. I've got a small pile of column drops to get rid of so I'm trying to get this happening.
I'll post on the Barn when I get another example.

I know this is an old thread BUT, I have bought 3 of the switch plates from Chad (Zaemo) and they are VERY nice, not the crap that the parts suppliers sell for $12. At GNRS last year, there was a very visible car that was promoted as being 100% original....look in the window and it had a crummy repro plate that didn't have the raised letters. Chad's work is great and I highly recommend the part. He also does the switch handles that are equally as nice.

I agree with mike's assessment of both Chad's plate and handle.

His handles are nickel plated, not chrome. Not an authority like David but the nickel looks more appropriate. Once you get one of Chad's ON/OFF plates, you will start noticing the crappy $12 repros.....and appreciating a real, original part.

The nickel plating is as original and IMO looks superior to chrome on the handle and plate. The oddity is that on a V-8 (and late B) column bracket plug in the upper corner hole (for the early B hand pull starter switch control) the plating was originally chrome.

Reason it was chrome is because (I think) it was a hardware item that Ford purchased. The hole plugs are still available from McMaster (I just bought some of them). It was easier (cheaper) for Ford to buy a chrome plug than to make their own and plate it.

With respect, the original plugs were not a stock hardware item unlike that available from McMaster and others. They were solid steel and about 1/4" long with a more rounded head than the typical plug button.

Wow, thanks for the plug description....I guess I have never seen a plug that was removed from the hole.....most column drops have an empty hole anyway. Now, I need to go find a real plug for my car. Gee, does it ever stop? (the quest for correctness). Thanks for the info, I learned something today.

Years ago I temporarily put a carriage bolt with a nut on the back to fill the hole. If you find two plugs or a source please post.

Rather than just guess, as I did above, the actual length of the original plug is 7/16" and the head diameter is 17/32". The shank diameter is 3/8".
