Default electronic distributor conversion

I have a 72 Ford LTD with points. I would like to convert to electronic distributor for obvious reasons. Can anyone steer me in the right direction (website or otherwise)? Thanks!!

I have used the "Mallory" distributor with good results. The "Mallory" is pointless, and has nothing else to buy or use. Just install the distributo in your engine and connect one wire to ground, and the other two wires to your coil, and GO. Seems to run good and no points or condenser. I have one in a 1973 pickup with 302 engine, and another in a 1971 pickup with 390 engine. All the rest of my fords still have points and condensers. So far, So good.

I am using a Pertronix unit in my 302 for three years/17000 mi. Cost about $75, is completely inside the dist cap, AND you can carry your points/condenser with you if you ever have problems on the road because the stock points plate is used and not modified.

Mine has been flawless, cranks and idles much better.
