Default New member checking in

Hi,

A dear friend of mine who owns a 41 Super Deluxe and a 56 Crown told me about this site and it looks great so far.

I'm new to old Fords with flatheads and new to the site so I may have plenty of questions to ask if you folks don't mind.

I just recently bought a 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Tudor sedan and starting to repair the little things that are wrong with it.

So, looking forward to meeting folks and making new friends!

Welcome to the barn, and to your questions. We have a question to start... There are several Webb Cities in the USA, which one is yours?

Howdy moonshine runner, Welcome to the FordBarn Forums.

You'll find many helpful folks here, even if they are in a little bit of a bad mood occasionally.

If you don't mind a tip, something that a new member should know about is the search feature in the red bar at the top of the Forums page. It can be incredibly helpful when you're doing some research before posting a question that has been discussed, sometimes a lot, before.

-VT/JeffH:

That is good advice about using search feature BUTand there is always a BUT.
It is Hard when searching a Question on a world wide Forum.
Example, Do I look up Question about a HOOD or a BONNET / GASOLINE or PETRO
POINTS or CONTACT SET these are just a few examples but I think you can see my point.
So yes use the Search Feature to get some of the answers But Don't ever be afraid to ask your Question on here.
It is my Opinion that every Question about our flatheads has been asked & answered at some time in the past.
So if that is the case we might as well ask RYAN to shut down this Forum and just keep open the Search Feature.
Remember there are many answers to the same Question !!!
And Many Questions to the same answer !!!

DISCLAIMER ::

THE ABOVE IS JUST MY OPINION AND I CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE I AM STILL ON MY 1st COFFEE LOL LOL

Welcome to the Fordbarn! As Mike said, some pictures of your car would be cool. Maybe do a picture in your avatar. I usually identify and remember folks by their avatar picture quicker/better than by their name.

Also, with your avatar name, was wondering if you have ever attended the Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, GA ?? Always a great show in October.

I'll add my welcome too. As JM asked, "have you ever been to the Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, Ga.? The event takes place from October 25th to the 27th this year, your '47 TuDor would fit right in, our local group, the Cigar City Flatheads hold a driving tour on the Friday of the event. If you are interested, check out the thread called "Moonshine Festival".

Wow,

You guys are great! Thanks again for the warm welcome!! No, I've not had the pleasure of attending the Moonshine Festival but I bet it's a heck of a show. I will definitely be adding some photos of my car very soon.

It's a black tudor with wide whites! Looks pretty cool and when I drive it, I get lot's of thumbs up! I guess some folks must like the looks of it or something! LOL

And thanks for the tip on searching the forum. That will come in handy as I progress through fixing the little things I need to fix.
