Default "V8 60" Tapered Water Pump Lube

I plan to rebuild a couple of V8 60 tapered water pumps. These pumps receive lubrication from the block through four holes in the tapered sides of the pump. It isn't obvious to me how the lube gets to the shaft and the plastic impeller. Should there be holes in the bronze bushing?

Bushings are usually "sintered" brons so oil can go thrue it.
