Default Model a choke

Bought a model a that has been sitting for a couple years. The choke won't rotate clock wise or counter clock wise . Seems to be stuck. It does pull out and push in. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to mess it up. Bob

You are trying to turn the GVA, to adjust the spray needle. Spray some "REAL" penetrating oil on it down at the carb where it connects, not just off the shelf WD-40 (they do make penetrating oil read the label to make sure what you are buying).

You might have one of the carburetors with a threaded brass seat that has stuck itself to the needle.

When you pull it, it's a choke.

When you rotate it, it's a Gas Adjustment Valve...basically richens or leans the fuel mixture.

Aero Kroil is a good aerosol penetrating oil....

Here is a PDF of the Instruction Book...it will have a description

If that does not work, you may have to pull the carb and work it over. It should turn without much effort so if it does not, something is wrong. Like mentioned, use the penetrating oil but don't try to force it.
