Default Jim Brierley Surgery

Jim Brierley, long time leader of F.A.S.T and regular contributor to Fordbarn underwent heart bypass surgery this weekend. Last word was he is doing OK but let's guarantee a quick recovery with prayers and encouragement.

Hi Jim,
wishing you a speedy recovery and a strong recovery. Most guys I know who have had bypass feel much much, much better afterwards as a result.

Having had serious surgery myself a month ago, I can tell you that there's little as life-reaffirming afterwards as having friends call, write and visit, and then getting back in the A as soon as possible. Having a pretty nurse in the room helped a lot too.

Jimbo,
Gregg, the Dog, & I wish you the best. You'll be GOOD! I've had 2 ROTO-ROOTERS & 3 stents, Gregg had a titanium valve installed, & a main aorta aneurysm repaired & we both came back better than ever. Tony, next door, is going to have 3 bypasses done soon & we're talking him through it, so he won't be fearful. Bill W.

Jim,
I will be praying for you too. I had a tripple bypass 8 1/2 years ago. It was a common procedure then. There have been more improvements, since then.
Definitely follow through with the therapy that is offered and extend it if you can.
Email me if I can answer any questions you might have.
Recovery is just a short season. You will feel like new, soon.
Regard, Neil

Jim is having a tough time of it and not responding as well as we would like. He won't be reading or answering e-mails for a while.

The last update I received is he has most likely suffered a stroke which they can't fully evaluate at this time. He is aware of where he is, what has happened and understands what the doctor is telling him.

Lets keep up those prayers coming for both Jim and his wife Kathy during this tough time.

We can do it. Get well quick Jim and beat me through the lights, again.
