35 deluxe fuel gauge alternative
Anyone found an alternative to the hydrostatic fuel gauge that would fit and look ok in a 35deluxe sedan? My hydrostatic gauge is trashed and cant seem to locate a replacement. Looking for maybe an electric like the 36 that could more or less be bolt-on.

Give them a call in Monday, they might have a NOS original, otherwise they have a 29-31 but it might not work Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |

Re: 35 deluxe fuel gauge alternative
I put a 36 gauge in my 35 sedan, I had to use some self taping screws to bolt the sending unit in place. I don’t remember for sure but I think I had to make the access hole larger and built a new cover but I don’t think I had to enlarge the hole in the tank

Re: 35 deluxe fuel gauge alternative
My 35 needed a new tank so it has a 36 style tank with a modern sender, with an original 36 gauge. The modern sender isn't fully compatible with the gauge, but I have it calibrated to be correct at Empty ( the important end!). When the tank is full, the needle disappears up the top - when it comes back into sight, it's time to fill up.
