Default I need advise on a 5.8 Liter, Fuel Injected motor and AOD Trans Combination

I am building a '57 Ranchero. I've located a 5.8 Liter Fuel Injected motor in a '94 Bronco with 4 Wheel Drive. Ideally, I'd like to couple the 5.8 to a small case AODE, or a small case AOD, if the AODE is not doable.
I've been told I'll have to change the oil pan , dip stick and oil pump. As well as the lower intake if I want to close the hood. I've also been told to get Everything I can from the Bronco, computer, wiring harness, air intake etc.
So, now that you know what I'd like to do, can you please tell me what pitfalls await me in this combination and swap in to my '57.
Is there a way to use the 5.8 with an AODE? What computer do I use? Or should I go the AOD route?
Tell me what you think, what I need to know, and what I've overlooked. I'm not thinned skinned, so fire away.
Thanks
John

If you can get the Bronco computer and Harness etc so you can run the F.I. & AODE the AODE is stronger internally that than the AOD is you still need the above flexplate. More info here:http://www.becontrols.com/techguide_2.shtml You can use late model Mustang mounts in your '57 with the 5.8 aka 351W http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1995-Mu...5Vf2eP&vxp=mtr I highly advise you use these the over the counter rubber mounts made in China and India because of poor rubber quality have been separating in less than a year.

Jeff, many thanks for the reply and information. I've looked it all over and will read it several times so it all sinks in.
As to what I can get from the Bronco........I can get/take anything I want. I know the guy that owns the salvage yard where this '94 Bronco is located, so I plan on getting, the computer, wiring harness, air intake, etc. .
No doubt I'll have some questions about this set up, especially for someone that has done it or knows how to do it, so I hope you don't mind me asking for advice in the days to come.
Thanks
John.
