Parking brake cables when switching a 37 to hydraulics
When switching a 37 Ford over to 39/40 style hubs and hydraulic brakes, do off-the-shelf (repro) cables still work, without any mod's to activate the e-brakes? Thanks in advance

On the '37, are the e-brakes actuated by the same rod / cable that the service brakes use? Have you looked into using the same cable used by '39 and up? (Sorry that I don't know that much about the brakes on these years but no one else responded.)

When you switched to hydraulic brakes, you changed the backing plates. The new plates do not have the sheathed cable attachment points but just the cable. You need to change the cable from the hand brake lever to the 39 up style, get the bracket that attaches to the rear radius rods for the hand brake cable and the unsheathed cable with equalizer to the rear brakes.
