Default Reproduction aluminum 33-34 heads?

Has anyone purchased the Reproduction 33-34 Kearney heads from the guy that got a deal on them? Any issues with these? Pictures look very nice, thanks.

Bought mine direct from Kearney Foundry. They look perfect and working without incident.

Went directly to the Kearney foundry to buy the pair I have on my '34. Had the pick of the litter....The quality of the alloy used and the castings of these heads is unsurpassed....

https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/D...1933-34/662659

The guy who was the successful bidder at the RM-Sotheby's Auction/Dingman Collection paid $9600.00 for 17 sets of '33/'34 heads. He's selling these heads for $1250.00 per set which is $250.00 less than Kearney was asking. He advertises these heads on Hemmings > https://www.hemmings.com/parts/item/...ads/15112.html

Pictured below are examples of the 1935 Heads....

There are defective ones out there. While investigating why the combustion area at one end of one of the heads was drastically less then the other end. My buddy who purchased them took them to a machine shop and the bottom line was the gasket surface was not parallel with the head and was 1/8" "thinner at one end. He is currently trying to deal with the people who bought out the business but is not having any luck. The other head is perfect. These were new, never touched by anyone since they left the factory heads and were machined wrong. Another way to describe this is that the gasket surface is not 90 degrees from the stud holes.

Over the years of reading of Kearney heads they are top notch in quality manufacturing and in service.
If u had a problem they were there to solve the problem. Replacing them whatever.
I find it very sad that this outlet for a quality product is no more.
In thinking......how many were returned with an issue over the years when Kearney was manufacturing them.
Stored away with the issue whatever it was.
They are all sold to another entity now. Good ones with the problem ones..... possibly.
Just something to consider.
Is it possible the new fella that bought them all doesn't realize the problem ones could be it with the good ones?
I think too much sometimes..

Lawrie

Are they a reproduction of the original style heads as pictured above or are they finned heads? Post some pictures if you can....
