Update on ct Cancer Scan
Hey guys I know that this is not Model A related and sorry to offend anybody if I took up time and space. A couple of weeks ago I had posted that I had to have another CT scan because something had "showed up" on the Cancer scan and I had just had been told that I was Cancer free the week before and I had not been posting anything and had stopped work on the A because my mind was on more important things than The Model A. Well some of the members here wanted me to update when I had heard back from it WELL I AM STILL CANCER FREE!!! they had made a mistake on the scan so all good news to me! Now I can concentrate on getting the brakes updated some to give me better stopping power.....yea that's right I thought that I was done also! So back to work for a little bit on the brakes and then(hopefully) I will get to go on that promised picnic with the Wife, she is afraid that we will have to rake the snow back off the ground to put a blanket down before I ever get it done! So thanks to everyone for all the help that I have received here on Fordbarn It has meant a lot to me, Robert DeBord

Re: Update on ct Cancer Scan
That's good news!! I lost a third of my right lung to cancer and have been clean for six years now. I appreciate every day I have with my family (and the Model A). Enjoy life!

Re: Update on ct Cancer Scan
Robert,
Thanks for posting your update. It is certainly not a waste of time or space. Strangers to each other we are, but Model A brothers we are as well, so your good news is our good news too. I'm happy for you and your family. I know you're resting better now. The waiting between tests and results can be torture! This life is so precious, and many of us forget that every day that we wake up is a gift. I often ask family and friends to take a minute and reallly think about how lucky we are to be able to enjoy another day. Cheers! Dave Lopes |

Re: Update on ct Cancer Scan
That is great news, and I am very happy for you and your family. What a relief that must be. I had similar news this week, as I had a 6 month followup ct scan for a spot on my lung, and this time they could find no spot. I am going to buy a new motorcycle!
Now get to work on the model A and start enjoying each day! You deserve it. |
