28 RPU Back Cab Bracket Question
I am putting together my roadster pickup cab from new and original parts. The back of the cab has a bracket I need help with. How far down does this bracket go? What does the bottom part connect to? The frame or subrail?
I have attached a picture. Thank you!

Re: 28 RPU Back Cab Bracket Question
Hi,
My RPU was also rebuilt from old and new parts by the previous owner. Unfortunately that area was painted with underbody goop and covered with household underfelt. I have attached a photo and highlighted the bracket with a Tippex marker. The bracket is riveted to a steel girder which seems to be part of the seat riser. The arrow points to where the LH bracket seems to be welded to the floor plate. The RH bracket is not welded.

Re: 28 RPU Back Cab Bracket Question
Floats,
Thank you. It looks like the bottom part is parallel with the horizontal bottom of the cab back. I appreciate the help. Tim

I must admit, taking another look at my photos, they are not as good as I was hoping and the domestic underfelt really looks crappy. Unfortunately the RH bracket is totally covered with the underfelt. However, the position you are holding the bracket in your photo, seems perfectly correct. Let me know if you need to see more.
