Default Dash Panel

I would like to replace my dash panel on my 29 which is looking pretty shabby. Was wondering if I have to rewire gauges or do the trim rings come off allowing the panel to be removed without removing gauges? Also, do the nuts on the face of the gas gauge simply screw off? Looks like those trim rings can be pryed off but I figure it is better to get advice BEFORE breaking something. As usual, all advice appreciated.

Trim rings are part of gauges, ampere and speedometer
