Default Gas line

I may have a gas line restriction. What is the maximum amount the line can stick out past the fitting before it bottoms pout in the carburetor ? Did a search could not find it Thank you

The rule of thumb is 1/8 past the brass ferrule.

Also, not a bad idea to cut that end of the fuel line at a 45 degree angle. That way even if it bottoms out against the screen it won't be blocked.

And remove any burr left on the inside of the line. The idea is to get maximum flow from the line at the carb.
