Default 1929 roadster pickup weight?

How much did a 1929 Roadster Pickup weigh from the factory? I am trying to get mine registered but she is still completely apart to get a weight from a place with a scale. The DMV said if I can get the original weight that should work. I found very little online I did fine a weight of 2255 lb but no body style mentioned unless that went for them all.

You might try this. It is for '31 but should be close.

How on earth would they VERIFY any number you should put in?

Is this like a nuclear plant where you have to supply reference documentation?

When I did my AA truck chassis (not a complete truck) since it was nominally a ton and a half truck I filled in 3000 lbs.

Nobody said a word.

I am just doing what they ask and I can bring in my manual for proof. I don't want to stir to much up with asking "why" I just need that reggy.

Joe,it doesn't matter in N.H. The fee is the same.I registered my old LJ Mack for $6.to the town and another $6.to the state.I think the towns may have gone up to $7.Same price for the A,and any antique. They just need a number to complete the form or it gets rejected as incomplete.I have the old town clerk books that I rescued years ago.A new helper threw them in the dump.If people need to know how much something weighs to register it they call me or they send them over. The books were published by Branham, and called the Branham bible. It gives serial number locations too.It shows the A as using the engine number,no mention of a frame number.

Yes, this my point. That AA chassis went to a buyer in Texas of all places, and he was determined that the chassis have "title" which is much harder to get down there I guess.

It was fun having the police woman come to the house to "verify" the engine number. She quickly caught onto the issue that this was not yet a complete vehicle but this is how it needed to be tracked. She worked with me.

You have done the right thing. An overzealous clerk could ask where that number came from and now you can show them. And what did it take to get your answer a couple seconds on the computer?

She did look up on their data base for similar vehicles to get a weight which she did find more Model A's but I am guessing she wants me to come up with a weight and then she can use that and compare to the others on her data base just to make sure I am be honest or something.
