Default Uphill Driving

I have a very steep, long driveway. Any tips for getting more power? Car is in first gear, but goes very slow.

Perhaps a rebuilt carb??? With that, you might get more power and smoother acceleration that could allow you to get into second gear.

Not sure exaxtly what your concern is, but what's wrong with slow? That's what 1st gear does and that's exactly what it's for.

Have you tried shifting to second gear? Do you do 15 mph or more up the driveway in your modern car?

That was my first thought also, but only after you are sure everything else is working correctly.
