One suggestion would be to see if you can find one that's NOS. We found one at Hershey a few years ago. Checking with the above mentioned suppliers might turn one up.

I have successfully rebuilt several '35-'36 brake cross shafts for my cars. Found the correct size oil impregnated bronze bushings at McMaster-Carr and made new shafts from some correct diameter CRS bar stock. The most difficult part of the job was getting the original riveted together assembly apart.

We don't use NOS bushings for '32-'34 cross shafts as they have an asbestos wearing surface, but rather do as JM 35 Sedan does using oil impregnated bronze. Fortunately the '32 cross shaft arms aren't riveted on, but rather held in place with tapered, slotted pins which are readily driven out opposite to the direction of their installation. That makes the job of disassembly easier.

Interesting grade of steel, that "CRS bar stock". Can you tell me where to get some?

CRS, cold rolled steel bar stock, is also available from McMaster-Carr. You don't mention what diameter you are looking for so you may need to turn it down for the correct diameter.
