Default 53 Ford p/s

I just finished installing new seals in the control valve and a new seal in the cylinder. Put it all back on the car, added fluid, etc. Now I have no assist when turning to the left, but turning to the right everything seems O.K. Turning to the left, it is just like I have no power steering. Air pocket? The car drives fine going down the highway. The steering wheel returns as normal after a left or right turn. The trouble shooting guide is not helpful. Any ideas. Thanks for any suggestions. Charles

This was the most helpful video on power steering I have seen. I may have seen it first on this forum. If you know all of this already forgive me, if not, it may help you trouble shoot the problem.

Where can I find more of these old military videos? That is a great historical resource there.

Thanks Shadetree for the help. I looked at all of the videos. Come to find out I did not have the valve spool nut properly adjusted inside the valve control. P/S works as it should now. Thanks again for your help. Charles
