Default 1956 Mainline clock problem

Hi, anyone ever have their clock buzz and have the contacts bounce and arc?

I can't say it has happened, but I had the clocks in my 54 Ford and 56 Bird converted to a quartz movement. Both have kept excellent time, the first over 15 years. Just an option.

Original clocks can be repaired, even restored cosmetically by many of the auto instrument repair places.
I've had clock repair done by Instrument Services Inc and by Williamsons, but I prefer Williamsons because they will work with you and provide lifetime guarantee. Some of these same outfits also can provide quartz conversion.
I suggest googling auto instrument repair, then look thru each website mentioned in the results to see what they offer.

it sounds like the points are dirty or burned if you are handy you can clean them they are very similar to the points in the ignition
