Default 1941 Columbia axle

My 1941 LINCOLN (sorry) has a Columbia rear axle with NO fill plug or
ANY hole on the Columbia side. Anybody ever see this?

I'm pretty sure this is correct. For some reason, Lincolns did not have an oil drain plug on the Columbia housing.

I am concerned that the unit has enough lube in it. Just rebuilt the V12
and have 100 miles on it. Total miles on Columbia are approx. 2000 with
no problems. Thank You

You may want to talk with Dan Krehbiel or John Connelly (Columbia Two Speed) both in CA. They both have seen a lot of Columbia's. see the V8 Club roster.

If it is the hypoid axle the fill hole is higher than the regular Ford axle and doesn't have the fill hole in the columbia housing --the first colunbia I bought was a Lincoln one ,it only had the fill hole in the banjo, the hole in the banjo was at the same heigth as the fill hole on a Ford columbia housing ---don't know about yours, that is what I found on the one i have
