New Phaeton owner here
Hello All.
As the title says, I have just acquired a 1929 Phaeton. This is my second A as the first is a Tudor, but this is my first original running A. I have a laundry list of things I need to do to get the car ready for steady driving as the last few years have only seen parades. Starting with a new wiring harness, brakes and new lug bolts. I have been looking through the forums trying to immerse myself in the basics and still have some questions. Mostly questions of the proper use of the hand controls.....spark and throttle. Any secrets or tips in getting the best out of my new car? Thanks in advance. |

welcome to the forum ! Do you have an owner's manual ? Does your Tudor not have the spark and throttle controls ?

It would be nice to have a sticky at the top that would be a primer for new owners. I am sure that there have been prior posts that would be a good start.

As far as the tudor wayne, that car was more of a hotrod project. This one will stay pretty much stock. |

Hi! Welcome to the Model A world!
I live very close to you (10 minutes away). I can meet you for some on road instruction if you want, either in my car or yours. There are many Model A owners in our area, if you need help or advice on anything you plan to do.

Phaetons are the best! If you are going to get an old car, it SHOULD be a 4 door convertible. - Seth

Re: New Phaeton owner here
On this Ford Barn there is a 'Group Memberships' of the various types of cars, including Phaetons. Look for it :Phans of Phaetons. That would be something that might be worth joining.

Hi,
I'm also a Phaeton owner, north of you in Hopkins Co. Just bought new tires (blackwalls, of course) and my wheels are at the powder coater. Our 29 is, or was, Rose beige. What color is your 29? Montie |

Re: New Phaeton owner here
Seth how is your engine rebuild coming ???? Did you ever contact Tom Wesenberg to discuss installing his EVR set up ??? IMHO the best insurance after a safety fuse.
