Default FoMoCo fire extinguisher

When did Ford start using the Fomoco designation? A local guy has a brass fire extinguisher for sale,it is a pump type with Fomoco stencilled on it.The logo in in red,I would like to know just how old it could possibly be.If anybody wants to see it look in antiques in N.H. Craigslist. He has it spelled in partial capital letters if it helps to search.FoMoCo.

To research this question I looked at genuine Ford parts I have in their Ford cartons. While I do not have a lot of stock left the oldest part I have in a FoMoCo box is a truck bearing used 1940 thru 1947. Newer parts were in FoMoCo packaging and pre WWII parts were in Ford packaging. The bearing in question that fits 1940-47 could have been packaged after WWII of course. My best guess based on this limited research is late 1940's or early 1950's.

Somebody emailed me saying that Ford copyrighted that logo Nov.20 1948.He said the red coloring versus the blue has a date timeline too,but he could not remember just when it was.
