AMMCO Brake shoe grinder
I have a AMMCO brake shoe grinder Model 8000 w/a No. 8050 universal brake shoe clamp. My problem is when I put the brake shoe in the clamp it will not go down far enough to hold the brake shoe also the brake shoe sets about 1/4 in too low to hit the abrasive belt. I do not see any adjustments to be made. There is a Red knob on the lower clamp and I do not know what it is for. Thank you for any help. John

Re: AMMCO Brake shoe grinder
The shaft, the large one that is vertical, has notches to raise and lower it.
The lever is right behind the shaft to release and move... I have no idea why it won't clamp to the shoe,....are the "pins" there? How about a photo? |

Re: AMMCO Brake shoe grinder
d.j. The Vertical shaft w/ notches works good, but the top clamp will not go down far enough to hold shoes. The original pins are there. The bottom clamp is to low for linings to hit the sanding drum. Pictures? Thanks John
