Default 34 Coupe Roof Ribs

Does anyone have a photo or a drawing they could send me of what the piece of wood looked like that supports the dome light and screws in between the first two wood roof ribs on a 34 coupe? I have two good wood roof ribs but the wooden piece that the dome light screws to was missing from the pieces I have.
My email address is [email protected].

Secondly, I assume the electric wire that powers the dome light runs across the top of one of the doors and then across the first or second roof rib to the dome light. Is this correct? And if so, would the wire run over the passenger or driver's side door? Does the on/off switch on the dome light mount with the switch located towards the rear or front of the car?

Also, I have a ground wire strap remaining on the metal roof rib which is spot welded at the rear of the roof opening. I'm assuming this provides the ground connection for the dome light? (yes or no?) Is there another function for this ground strap?

Thank you!

Does this help?

Wire feeds from pass side. Ground wire runs to rear. (right in pic.).

Mart.

The On/Off switch is toward the rear. The block for the light may not be exactly as pictured above, may have mitered ends where it screws to the two roof bows.

Looking at Terry's picture you see what looks like chicken wire mesh which was also used as radio antena. There was a antenna wire from it down the windschield post, the braded schield around that wire should be grounded also possibly with the groiund wire you mentioned.

You should be able to get that piece of wood from Woodart in Manteca, Ca. ph# 209-239-1530. He advertises in the V-8 Times

Where should the ground wire be grounded to? The roof? One wire soldered to the wire mesh and the other, the ground, to the roof metal? Is this right? Thanks.

I'm sorry, I should have said that I am working on a '35 coupe. The wire mesh antenna description above that keith oh gives is similar to the '35. I just want to know where to ground it. Thanks.
