Default 40 Bed Wood Question

Still working on my wife’s 40 Pickup and I have a question on the cab side transverse mount. Since my frame is a 36, I am happy that most of the holes I need are there but this wood mount I wanted to ask the experts about.

This piece bolts to the bed but how does it attach to the frame? It is right about where the center frame rail joins the side rail and I see two holes. The one closest to the cab is right in top if it, the other seems too far away. How close is this piece to the cab?

Thanks for any help you can give ...,

Looks like the rear holes according to Kube's pictures, is that correct? Would like to know for my "41" project.

I am betting on a measure between the holes behind the cab and the holes for the rear most wooden cross piece compared to the bed will tell the tale ...
