Body panels for 42-46 1.5 ton truck
Whats are folks general opinions of the best place to get body panels for a decent price??
Cab corners, floor boards. Maybe a few trim pieces. Trying to decide if I want to put whiskers back on my truck. Not going for to much chrome, but I like the added character. Another thing on my wish list is maybe putting in a front windshield that will tilt out. I'm guessing that all that's involved if finding the hardware for the window and moving the wipers to the top of the cab? The 1/2 ton trucks have different body panels correct? or just the front fenders are different? |

to put the tilt window in you will need a 39 back truck cab, at least the cowl, windshield and roof area. during WW2 there were some Ford cabs made like that. doable but a lot of work

The cab is the same as the 1/2 ton version from 1940 to 1947 with some minor differences. Check with "Northern Classic Truck". for floor and patch panels. The trim is going to be large truck only and I don't think anyone reproduces it. Good luck with your project.
