For the transmission? If so which one? There is a detent for each fork shaft.

Good question. My recently (professionally) rebuilt tranny, 3 speed on floor, occasionally pops out of second gear. I’m told to try and replace this first.

Oh boy. Recently rebuilt and popping out? I hope it's just the detents.

If not, the cluster is set too loose and the trans will need to come apart to fix.

The 2nd gear is also affected by play between it and the main shaft. Ford was going to the heavy duty 3-speed in 1952. The light duty was on its way out at that time but it was upgraded to the later gear types in 1951.

Detents are in the shift tower under the screws on each side unless someone replaced it with an old 68 series single detent tower. I would look to VanPelt Sales for parts.
