Default Big change with my coupe

I've had my car down for a few weeks doing a brake job. That's going well it just need some fine tuning to get it just right, but I thought you guys would enjoy my wheel swap.
Before:

After:

The 17's sure handle better but I think I will leave the 19's on for a while. Two of them wobble a bunch but I have other straight wheels in my Old Ford Hoard.

Happy Monday

I like them both, but for different reasons. The fat ones look cool, but the original ones look like the car came from the factory, which I really like.

LOOKS AWESOME! Your car aged 10-20 years! Looks like a 30s as opposed to a late 40s or 50s... Proper color to boot

I am a great believer in leaving the originals on. As soon as you go to the larger tires it is not a Model A anymore ! Wayne

Boy am I jealous! I have been looking for a Coupe like that. Does it in fact have a Trunk virus the rumble seat? Very nice car with both sets of wheels but, I'm one of those guys who would rather see it all stock.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Yes Cape Codder it is an original trunk car. Assembled in December of 1930 at the SF assembly plant. This interesting thing is that it is an original Deluxe Coupe with a trunk not a rumble seat.

I love original cars and mine is original but the coupe especially, with fat big littles on it really looks sharp.

Reminds me of something we tell new guys sometimes...
"Stop, you're making it worse".
Seriously, it looks good both ways. Care to share the tire sizes of the "Before" pics?

I ran it with the big tires for about 3 years and just wanted a change. I also like it both ways. The big tires give it a 40's early hotrod look, but the 19's make it look like a humble stock coupe. Imagine that
Rex the tires in the first pic are 550 and 750 on 34 Ford 17" wheels.

Are those 16's?
What tire size are you running? Do you have a side profile shot?

Tiny,
Minerva came out of the San Francisco plant also. '30's were the LAST year there, then it moved across the bay to Richmond. The plant was a multi-story building @ 22nd & Harrison, downtown. Parts & sub-assembleys came in by railroad & the building had HUGE freight elevators! It's hard to find much history on the S.F. plant. The Richmond plant building still exists, I was there in '53 & toured the whole plant. At that time, the Technology was MIND BOGGELING!!

Bill the building in SF doesn't even exist anymore. It's a school yard now. My Father in Law went through the Iron Worker apprenticeship in the old SF plant. During the 60's it was the Iron Workers Union Hall. The Richmond Plant is an Office building now, but the office workers are use too us old cars wandering in "just to check it out". There is a Rosy the Riveter museum right there also that's really cool

215 85 on the 16s Tiny, when I hit the mechanicals, the car now stops dead in its track, it does not slide as before, and the ride is very smooth.
